Progress Update

Progress Report Week 12.
 
After the storm of the year we return to find that the buildings remain intact but the fence is missing a few signs.
 
Unfortunately it is still raining and the winds are too strong to work up on the scaffold, so everyone is sent home.
 
 
As you can clearly see it is far too wet for the bricklayers to work.

 
Covering of the bungalow roof to meet the acousticians requirements is nearly complete.

 
Boarding and forming of parapets is nearly complete.


 
After the worst week so far (weather related) we will begin the covering of the apartment roof with the single ply membrane next week, weather permitting.
 
Hopefully the bricklayers will also be with us and the sun will shine?
 

Progress Update

Progress Report Week 11.
 
Week 11 has seen the commencement of the flat roof works and the installation of the trusses on the bungalow.
 
Soft landing bag installation nearly complete, prior to the lifting of the roof trusses.
 
 
Trusses on bungalow one are now in position.

 
 Fire socks and lapping of membranes on the 50mm cavity elevation are now complete.

 
Flat roof works have commenced and guess what?

 
Its raining!
 


.The trusses on the bungalow have been installed, bracing fitted, hips and valleys formed.




 
The fire barriers and lapping of the membranes has been completed on the 100mm cavity elevations of the apartments.

 
 
After a hectic week everything has been secured down ready for the storm of the year.
 
Hopefully when we return on Monday the buildings will be where we left them?
 

Progress Update

Progress Report Week 10.
 
Week 10 has seen the installation of the second floor joists, roof terrace panel erection and also the erection of both bungalows.
 
The first of the bungalows has been erected.

Second floor joist installation on the apartments is now complete.

 
The roof terrace panels have been erected.

 
The parapet walls are now being installed.


 
 
Next week will see the flat roof works on the apartment commence and also the installation of the trusses on the bungalows.

Progress Update

Progress Report Week 9.
 
Week 9 has seen the continuation of the ground floor timber frame erection along with the commencement of the first floor joists, floor decking and the adaption of the scaffolding ready for the first floor panels.
 
Joists have been installed.
 
 
Laying of the temporary floor deck on the first floor of the apartments.


First floor panel installation has begun.

 
Second floor joist installation is underway.

 
Installation of fire barriers around windows has begun and lapping of membranes is in progress.

Progress Update

Progress Report Week 8.
 
Week 8 has seen the commencement of the timber frame erection.
 
Setting of sole plates.
 
 



Installation of ground floor panels begins.

 
Installation of internal ground floor panels.


 
Installation of acoustic insulation into party walls.

 

 
The scaffolding company also returned to site to complete the scaffold around the bungalow and to fill in the front section of the apartments and complete the second lift.
 
Next week will see the continuation of the timber frame works and more scaffolding.

Progress Update

Progress Report Week 7.
 
Week 7 has seen the completion of the internal drainage and the substructure for the timber frame to sit on.
 
 
Grouting of floor and construction of substructure.

 
The erection of the scaffolding has begun, ready for the timber frame .



 
The site has been stoned up ready for the arrival of the timber frame and future works.


The scaffolding of the bungalow will commence next week.

 
If you haven't already heard we are holding a Community Liaison Open Evening on Thursday 3rd October at Barnabas C of E Church on Westbury Crescent.
 
It will run from 4-6.30pm, with Q&A time at 5 & 6pm, refreshments provided.
 
We look forward to seeing you there and answering any questions/ suggestions you may have?

Progress Update

Progress Report Week 6.
 
Week 6 has seen the return of the ground workers and we have started to backfill around the buildings ready for the installation of the floors.
 
 
The installation of the floors on the apartments has begun, this will be followed by the internal drainage and ductwork for services.
 

 
The substructure of the lift shaft is complete and the works for the timber frame sole plate have begun.
 
 
The drainage and floors are now being installed on the bungalows.

Progress Update

Progress Report Week 5.
 
 
Week 5 has seen the shuttering of the beams and pile caps, ready for grouting and also the casting of the lift pit.

Finished beams.

 
 
The ground workers have also returned to site and have begun to backfill around the perimeter of the buildings, ready for the installation of the floors next week.


Progress Update

Progress Report Week 4.
 
During week 4 the piles have been cropped to the correct levels and the installation of the pile caps has commenced along with reinforced concrete beams.
