The second week of works has comprised of the continuation of the reduced dig, the installation of the piling mat, the site cabins have been setup and the piling rig has arrived on site.

The arrival of the piling rig drew a large crowd of residents to gather, due to the large size of it all 38 tonnes and the small access in which it had to be driven through.

The pictures below give you some idea of the size of the piling rig.

The piling mat has now been completed and the piling works have commenced. Due to the railway line being next to the site Network Rail are on site and track monitoring is in operation, to ensure there is no movement on the railway lines.
